Vanconol® amine TOH is an alkyl imidazoline structured organic intermediate with excellent thermal stability. Unneutralized amine TOH is hydrophobic, soluble in organic solvents, non-polar solvents, and mineral oil. The imidazoline ring structure allows it to form ion-bonds with opposite polarity substances, adsorbing strongly onto metals, fibers, plastics, glass, and mineral surfaces to form a dense molecular protective film.

When neutralized as a salt, it remains stable in acidic conditions, reducing surface tension and providing pickling solutions with superior wettability. It provides cationic and dispersing properties, ideal for modifying powder material surfaces to become either hydrophilic or hydrophobic.

Bitumen (Asphalt): Enhances adhesion with sand, gravel, and ash. Treated bitumen resists flood, acid rain, and corrosion, making it ideal for high-quality engineering asphalt like airport runways.

Rubber Processing: Used as retarders for fast-curing butyl rubbers to reduce scorching, curing accelerators, and softening/plasticizing agents.

Antistatic Agents: Forms a continuous conducting film on fiber and plastic surfaces to eliminate static friction during production.

Paints & Inks: Improves paint adhesion to wet surfaces and enhances waterproofing. Acts as a high-performance dispersant for water-based industrial coatings and pastes.

This product should be sealed and stored in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area at room temperature, strictly away from fire sources.
