📋
Product Description
Silway 718 is intended for waterproofing of mineral substrates, in particular roofing tiles and common brick. When diluting the product, it must be added into demineralized water under vigorous stirring. The recommended dilution rate ranges from 1:10 - 1:100. The ideal dilution rate for best performance depends on the specific mineral substrate.
Application amount depends heavily on substrate absorbency and should be tested in advance. For common brick, a dilution rate of 1:20 is generally recommended at a consumption rate of approximately 0.3 - 0.4 l/m².

Usage Instructions
Substrate Prep: Apply only on fully cured, air-dry, and clean substrates. Remove dust, grease, and oil via sandblasting or water washing. Best performance is achieved on a dry surface.
Application: Apply via dipping or low-pressure spraying (wet fan nozzle). Substrate temperature should be between +4°C to +40°C. Protect from rain for at least 4 hours post-application.
Precaution: Cover sensitive surfaces (glass, wood, plastic, metal) to avoid white deposits. Test on a small patch first for compatibility.

❓
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the recommended dilution ratio for Silway 718?
A: The dilution rate ranges from 1:10 to 1:100 with demineralized water, depending on the absorbency of the substrate. For common bricks, 1:20 is typically recommended.
Q: Can this product be used on all surfaces?
A: No. It is designed for mineral substrates like brick, stone, and ceramics. It should NOT be applied to glass, wood, plastic, or metal as it may cause white deposits.
Q: How long does it take to become rain-resistant?
A: The treated surface should be protected from rain for at least 4 hours after application to ensure proper penetration and curing.
Q: Is Silway 718 environmentally friendly?
A: Yes, it is a VOC-free, water-based, and non-flammable formulation, making it safer for both users and the environment.
Q: What is the ideal application temperature?
A: The substrate temperature should be within the range of +4°C to +40°C during application for optimal results.
