Hydroxypropyl MethylCellulose (HPMC) are widely used in construction, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, detergent, and paints as thickener, emulsifier, film-former, binder, dispersing agent, and protective colloids. It is an odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic white powder that dissolves in cold water to form a transparent viscous solution.
